Saed News: A young man who had killed his former love in a horrific incident and attempted unsuccessful suicide has been arrested by detectives from the Tenth Division of the Tehran Criminal Investigation Police.
According to SAEDNEWS, on the night of Friday, the 18th of Ordibehesht, the discovery of a young woman’s body in a house in one of eastern Tehran’s neighborhoods was reported to emergency police (110).
Following the report, a skilled team of detectives from the Tenth Division of Tehran’s Criminal Investigation Police was dispatched to the scene. They found the body of a young woman who had been killed due to blunt force trauma to the head. Initial investigations indicated that a neighbor had reported the incident, and the suspect was present at the crime scene.
The suspect was immediately arrested and gave the following confession: he had previously been in an emotional relationship with the victim, but they did not end up together, and he later married someone else. He claimed that he accidentally met her in the street and they decided to stay together for a while. They went to a house and consumed alcohol.
He stated that the victim, who was intoxicated and aggressive, began arguing with him over past issues, and the dispute escalated. In a moment of rage, he attacked her with a glass bottle and struck her multiple times on the head. He then attempted suicide by opening a gas valve, but neighbors who heard the sound and smelled gas rescued him.
After these confessions, forensic examination and further investigation were ordered. The victim’s body was transferred to the forensic medical center for further analysis, and the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
