Saed News: It may be hard to believe, but geese also hire babysitters. Hiring babysitters is common among humans, but discovering that geese do the same can be quite fascinating.
According to SAEDNEWS, quoting Entekhab, the interesting story of geese hiring a babysitter was discovered by a creative villager who is also interested in photography. The man, who lives in Saskatchewan, Canada, spotted a mother goose guiding dozens of goslings while walking near the Saskatchewan River.
The photographer, named Daigout, said: “Like every evening, I was walking by the river and saw many geese because they come from the south looking for places to build nests. So I tried to photograph them. Then I noticed a large group of goslings sticking close to one mother goose. I counted them and saw there were 16. I was surprised by the large number of goslings and took photos of them. But day after day, the number of goslings kept increasing.”
One day Daigout counted 25 goslings, then 30 the next day, and on another day he observed 47 baby geese. He eventually realized that this amazing mother goose was actually responsible for caring for goslings from many different families and had effectively become a babysitter.
Daigout said about the goose: “Seeing this goose made me feel she was born to be a caregiver. She was truly amazing and patiently guided all the goslings.”
