SAEDNEWS: An official at Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) says the country exported $1.2 billion worth of goods to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states in the 1st seven months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Elham Haji-Karimi, Secretary of the EAEU Desk at the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), announced that Iran exported $1.261 billion worth of non-oil products to Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states between March 21 and October 22, 2025.
During this period, the largest share of Iran’s exports went to the Republic of Belarus, followed by Armenia, she highlighted.
As head of the Secretariat for the Iran-EAEU Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Haji-Karimi emphasized Iran’s strong potential to expand exports to the EAEU market, particularly in sectors such as automobiles, automotive parts, textiles and apparel, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, and the food industry.
She also outlined details of the 4th Eurasia International Trade Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Iran from February 1 to 4, 2026. “Trade delegations from Asian and regional countries will participate in the prestigious exhibition, and a high-level meeting with ministers and senior officials will address key issues of trade and economic cooperation, including the Free Trade Agreement,” she noted.
Haji-Karimi described the event as a valuable opportunity for Iranian economic actors, traders, producers, and EAEU member states to explore existing capacities and strengthen trade cooperation with Iran.
