SAEDNEWS: Two police officers have been killed in a terrorist attack on their car along the Khash-Zahedan route in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeast Iran.
According to provincial police, terrorists opened fire on a police vehicle in Sib and Suran town on Tuesday, killing two officers and injuring a third.
Preliminary reports suggest the attack was carried out by unidentified armed assailants.
Immediately following the incident, police launched targeted operations to track down those responsible.
Security and law enforcement officials confirmed that full details of the attack, along with the results of the ongoing operation, will be released as soon as they become available.
