SAEDNEWS: Liang Zizhen, an elderly woman from a village in southwest China, has become known as the “unicorn woman” due to her unusual appearance.
According to Saed News’ social affairs service, citing Bulletin News, a bizarre horn measuring about 13 centimeters in length has appeared on a woman’s head. Approximately seven or eight years ago, a fleshy mole appeared on her scalp, causing severe itching. Her son, Chaojun, recalls: “At the time, we treated the problem using traditional Chinese methods, and it disappeared completely.”

However, this was not the end of her condition. About two years ago, a horn-like growth reappeared on her head. The horn grew larger until the woman’s daughter accidentally broke it while washing her mother’s hair. Chaojun explains: “Now this horn causes significant discomfort for my mother and even disrupts her sleep. Additionally, the site where the horn grows constantly bleeds.”
Doctors describe this condition as a skin tumor, usually small, but in her case, it has grown abnormally. While surgeons believe it can be completely removed through an operation, the family is concerned about her health following surgery.

This is not the first report of such unusual conditions in China, although cases of this severity are extremely rare. For instance, in 2010, a woman with a similar “horn” gained media attention and was famously nicknamed the “devil woman.”
