SAEDNEWS: Vladimir Zelensky announced plans to conclude a "mega deal" with the United States for the supply of weapons to Ukraine, including long-range systems.
“We discussed and agreed on the main points with [US] President [Donald Trump]. Now we are moving on to practical implementation,” he said, Politico reported.
The deal, which reportedly involves weapons worth around $90 billion, marks a major step in military cooperation.
Earlier, Axios revealed that Trump refused to supply Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv—the only weapon on the list that the US leader declined to provide to European NATO countries for Ukraine. During their September 23 meeting in New York, Zelensky asked Trump for Tomahawk missiles, according to both Axios and The Telegraph. Zelensky later confirmed in an Axios interview that he requested a new type of weapon for Ukraine but did not specify which. Trump reportedly replied that they would “work on it.”
