SAEDNEWS: Dutch authorities arrested an person who tried to break into the Israeli Embassy in the Netherlands and set it ablaze, another in a wave of attacks on Israeli targets in the country throughout the war in Gaza.
No embassy staff were harmed, the Israeli embassy confirmed in a Dutch-language post on X. The arrest occurred around 7 p.m. Friday, local police said.
Ambassador Zvi Vapni condemned the attack, calling it “another vile act” but emphasized, “we are not intimidated”, urging the international community to denounce such violence.
This follows previous incidents: three arrests in August 2024 after the embassy door was smashed and red paint thrown, and one arrest in March 2024 for allegedly hurling a burning object at the building.
