SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has told a parliamentary commission that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not engaged in any negotiations with the US.
Araghchi briefed Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on key international issues, highlighting Iran’s active embassy in Venezuela and the ambassador’s presence there. He noted that external pressures target the economy and stressed that no talks with the U.S. are planned under current conditions, though Iran may reconsider if circumstances change.
The diplomat emphasized strengthening ties with neighbors through “neighborhood and provincial diplomacy” to support the economy and livelihoods. He also highlighted ongoing operational cooperation with Russia and China, including a joint statement and active coordination across multiple forums.
