SAEDNEWS: Iran’s UN ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani says the alleged kidnapping of Venezuela’s president and first lady by the US violates international law and the principle of state sovereignty.
At an emergency UN Security Council meeting, Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani denounced the United States’ military action against Venezuela as “state terrorism” and a violation of international law. He highlighted the abduction of Venezuela’s President and First Lady, criticized the US for prioritizing domestic law over the UN Charter, and warned that Security Council inaction fosters impunity. Iravani reaffirmed Iran’s support for Venezuela’s legitimate government and emphasized Iran’s right to defend its sovereignty against foreign aggression.
