SAEDNEWS: Economic considerations are central to Iran’s foreign policy, the foreign minister said, highlighting his ministry’s active role in advancing economic diplomacy and supporting national economic recovery.
At a meeting of Iranian entrepreneurs in Tehran attended by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, participants discussed the role of the Foreign Ministry in advancing the country’s economic diplomacy.
Araqchi stressed that economic priorities are now central to Iran’s foreign policy, noting that lifting sanctions and supporting economic recovery are two key missions of the ministry. He said economic diplomacy has moved into an operational phase under this approach.
He added that the ministry’s field-based strategy includes direct involvement in economic projects, resolving banking, transportation, and legal obstacles, and facilitating cooperation with foreign partners.
Araqchi also described entrepreneurs and economic actors as essential to strengthening national capacity, emphasizing that support for the private sector and smoother economic engagement—particularly with neighboring and regional countries—are critical to effective international cooperation.
