According to Saed News' culinary service, stuffed onions are one of the authentic and flavorful dishes that can be made with or without meat. This dish has a unique, tangy taste, made by combining partially cooked onions, rice, lentils, aromatic herbs, and pomegranate paste.
To prepare this dish, first slice the onions from one side and cook them partially in water with turmeric. Then, mix the filling ingredients, including ground meat, raw rice, cooked lentils, pomegranate paste, tomato paste, aromatic herbs, and spices. After peeling the layers of the onions, stuff them with the mixture and arrange the stuffed onions in a pot.
Finally, add a mixture of water, pomegranate paste, and oil to the stuffed onions and let them cook on low heat for three to four hours. To prevent the stuffed onions from opening, place a plate on top. Once the onions have softened, your delicious stuffed onions are ready to be served.
