Ingredients for Delicious Teh-Andaz Bagheli
2 cups soaked rice
3 tablespoons dried dill
½ cup fava beans
Butter and saffron, as needed
2 pieces of chicken
Salt, black pepper, turmeric, cinnamon, as needed
How to Prepare Teh-Andaz Bagheli – Easy and Tasty
First, rinse the rice, soak it with a little salt, and set aside.
Wash the chicken pieces and place them in a bowl. Massage well with spices, a little saffron, and a chopped onion, then let them marinate for 1 hour.
Clean and rinse the fava beans, or use frozen ones. Place the rice on the stove and cook until the grains are slightly soft. Once at this stage, add the fava beans and dill, and cook until the rice is fully tender.
Drain the rice. In the bottom of the pot, add butter, saffron, and oil. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces, then layer the drained fava beans on top. Smooth the surface and optionally sprinkle some cinnamon to enhance flavor.
Cover and cook on low heat for 40 minutes until the Teh-Andaz Bagheli is fully steamed. Finally, add a little more butter and saffron on top and serve with your favorite salad. Enjoy!
Tips for a Perfect Teh-Andaz Bagheli
Place the chicken pieces skin-side down in the pot.
If using large pieces, place the pot over a heat diffuser to ensure the chicken cooks evenly, or partially cook the chicken beforehand.
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken with garlic and onion.
Fresh dill can be used, but dried dill provides a stronger aroma.
