SAEDNEWS: One day my doctor saw that I was holding the child with this hand and encouraged me a lot. He said, ‘This child will heal your hand! When you hold this child out of affection, it helps you bear the weight.’ And that’s exactly what happened.
According to the Political Service of SaedNews Analytical News Website, quoting Mashregh News, Ayatollah Khamenei spoke about the healing of his injured hand and the role his daughter played in regaining its lost ability:
“My hand, the one that was initially paralyzed due to the assassination attempt, for a while did not move at all and was swollen. Then gradually, I noticed it started moving slightly from the shoulder. The doctor told me to move my arms naturally while walking. I did exactly that, and the range of motion increased. Then slowly I saw I could bend my arm at the elbow.
Around that time, God blessed us with a daughter who was very attached to me. She would often come to the presidential office, and I would hold her in my arms. Gradually, I realized I could hold her with this hand as well.
One day my doctor saw that I was holding her with this hand and encouraged me a lot. He said, ‘This child will heal your hand! When you hold this child out of affection, it helps you bear her weight.’ And that’s exactly what happened. I held her, carried her around, and little by little this hand grew stronger. Now, from the wrist down, the fingers aren’t really a hand—they’re more like the shape of a hand—because it hardly does anything for me. It can do some tasks, but a hand is still a hand.”
