SAEDNEWS: Foreign Ministry adviser Mohammad Hossein Ranjbaran condemns IRIB presenter Khanalizadeh’s remarks as contrary to the Supreme Leader’s call for respectful, fact‑based criticism and urges national security officials to halt this harmful trend.
According to Saed News, Mohammad Hossein Ranjbaran took to X to denounce the insults by IRIB presenter Khanalizadeh. He tweeted:
“In his latest speech, the Supreme Leader referred to the possibility of one person raising an objection to an official, and said, ‘We are not telling them not to voice their objections, but any protest or criticism must be delivered in an acceptable tone and only after investigation and fact‑finding.’
A well‑known presenter—introduced on state television as ‘Professor’ and ‘Expert’—has, just days after the Leader’s wise remarks supporting the diplomatic apparatus and emphasizing national unity, insulted the Foreign Minister (who has been on the front line of diplomacy since the very first hour of the war) in language reminiscent of elementary school children.
His insults and accusations are too worthless to merit a response—like those of that other person who accused the president of staging a coup live on air, or that individual who calls Iran a pigsty! Put this alongside the false news stories attributed to ‘informed sources’ that recall past tricks aimed at undermining negotiations and negotiators (the soldiers in the field of diplomacy). From national security officials, we expect that they halt this trend, which is certainly contrary to the system’s overarching policy at the present time.”
According to Saed News, Ranjbaran’s words came in response to Khanalizadeh’s offensive remarks about Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. He characterized those insults as “in elementary‑school language” and declared them in direct contradiction of the Supreme Leader’s explicit instructions to support Iran’s diplomatic corps. Ranjbaran further urged the country’s security authorities—implicitly addressing the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council—to intervene and stop such inappropriate conduct.
