SAEDNEWS: In a solemn gesture of tribute, Ayatollah Khamenei’s chief aide, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi-Golpayegani, visited the family of late IRGC Chief Major General Hossein Salami, who was martyred during Israel’s recent 12-day war on Iran, conveying the Leader’s heartfelt condolences and honoring Salami’s legacy of faith and sacrifice.
Hojatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi-Golpayegani, Head of the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, paid a condolence visit on Thursday to the family of Major General Hossein Salami, the late Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who was martyred on June 13 at the outset of the Israeli regime’s 12-day war on Iran.
He was accompanied by Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, in the visit to Salami’s bereaved household.
Conveying the personal sympathies of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Golpayegani praised Salami’s steadfast devotion and spiritual depth.
“God has granted Martyr Salami the right of intercession,” he said during the visit. “He will not enter Paradise without his spouse and children by his side.”
The remarks highlighted the deep reverence held for General Salami within the leadership, both as a military commander and as a figure of profound religious conviction.
During the emotional gathering, Salami’s son reaffirmed his family’s enduring loyalty to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
“We sacrifice our lives for him,” he declared.
General Hossein Salami, long regarded as a pivotal figure in Iran’s defense doctrine, was killed during the opening salvo of hostilities initiated by Israel in June, marking the beginning of a 12-day conflict widely condemned across the region and beyond.
