SAEDNEWS: John Mearsheimer, a leading American political theorist, warns that Israel aims to fragment Iran and urges Tehran to develop nuclear weapons immediately.
According to Saed News, John Mearsheimer, a renowned professor at the University of Chicago and a key figure in offensive realism theory, has made bold remarks regarding Iran’s national security strategy. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Mearsheimer stated:
“Israelis want to fragment Iran into smaller territories... Their strategy is divide and rule. They aim to either tear apart their rivals or make them so dependent on the United States that they lose sovereignty.”
Reflecting on the aftermath of recent regional tensions, he added:
“Today, Iran’s position is significantly stronger than it was before the conflict began on June 12th. This is a strategic loss for Israel. If I were Iran’s national security advisor, the country would already possess nuclear weapons. Iran must learn from the twelve-day war.”
In a direct recommendation, Mearsheimer emphasized that Iran should urgently pursue nuclear armament to deter future attacks from both Israel and the United States. His statement has intensified ongoing debates over nuclear proliferation and regional security in the Middle East.
