SAEDNEWS: The daughter of the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has shed light on her father’s reluctance to showcase his academic credentials, calling instead for a renewed commitment to Islamic governance and clerical leadership.
According to Saed News, the daughter of the late President Ebrahim Raisi criticized public skepticism regarding her father’s academic qualifications, stating that he deliberately avoided promoting his education for political gain. Speaking at the closing session of the “Nation of Abraham” scholarly conference in Qom, she emphasized Raisi’s dedication to principled, jurisprudential governance during his tenures at Astan Quds, the Judiciary, and the presidency.
Referencing pre-election claims that Raisi had only completed six years of formal schooling, she revealed that he declined her suggestion to publish a video outlining his academic background. “He believed that knowledge should serve the people—not be paraded before them,” she said, lamenting the missed opportunity to counter false accusations during presidential debates.
Highlighting Raisi’s efforts to integrate Islamic jurisprudence with modern governance, she recalled his initiative to hold religious instruction—open to women—at Mashhad’s historic Dowdarb School, where he also reinterpreted the religious endowment (waqf) system as a mechanism for institutional stewardship, not personal entitlement.
The speaker urged Iran’s religious institutions to train future clerical leaders capable of managing the state, arguing that “a lack of preparation” had left the Supreme Leader without a deep bench of successors. She criticized religious passivity in areas where the clerical presence has waned, linking this to broader structural weaknesses within the revolutionary movement.
Concluding with a Hadith on the fleeting nature of true faith under material pressure, she reflected on her campaign efforts alongside her father and expressed hope to one day serve in the prophesied government of Imam Mahdi.
