“Courage, Justice, and Faith”: Daughters of Late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi Speak at Tehran University

According to Saed News, in the wake of the recent death of President Ebrahim Raisi, his daughters—Reyhaneh Sadat Raisi and Hanieh Sadat Raisi—took the stage at Tehran University to speak during a commemorative session dedicated to the Supreme Leader’s letter to American students. The event served both as a memorial and a platform to reinforce Raisi’s ideological legacy among students and political observers.

Reyhaneh Raisi, herself a former student at the university, recalled urging her father not to attend Student Day events on campus due to the charged atmosphere. “I told him he might be harassed,” she recounted. “But he came anyway—because courage defined his leadership.” She praised her father’s unwavering commitment to “justice in action,” and described his political ascension as matched by increasing ethical restraint. “Justice isn’t theoretical—it must be lived,” she said.

Her sister, Hanieh Raisi, echoed these sentiments, calling for the institutionalization of their father’s approach to governance in both government and academia. She also referenced the Supreme Leader’s message to American youth, issued during a moment of regional turmoil, calling it a “revitalizing force for the resistance front” and proof that Iran’s ideological reach now stretches as far as the United States.

The ceremony, infused with rhetoric of defiance, martyrdom, and moral clarity, framed Raisi not merely as a fallen head of state, but as a symbol of ideological resilience in a struggle pitched far beyond Iran’s borders.
