SAEDNEWS: In a sharp rebuke to Washington, Iran’s top military official warned that the recent U.S. attack on Iranian soil has authorized the nation’s armed forces to take unrestricted retaliatory measures.
According to Saed News, Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, declared that the United States has "fully opened the hands" of Iran’s military to respond in kind following its direct attack on Iranian territory.
In a statement issued after what he called a "brazen and aggressive" act by the United States, General Mousavi accused Washington of overtly violating Iranian sovereignty in continued support of what he described as the "savage and expansionist Zionist regime."
“The criminal America,” he wrote, “has directly entered the war against the Islamic Republic by invading our sacred soil. They must understand that this act of aggression has granted our armed forces the liberty to target U.S. interests and military assets without restraint.”
He further warned that Iran will not retreat from any response and vowed consequences not only for Israel — which he referred to as America’s "illegitimate and aggressive offspring" — but also for U.S. forces in the region.
Mousavi’s statement signals a potential shift toward a more confrontational stance from Tehran following the American incursion. Regional analysts suggest that such language indicates military retaliation may not be confined to symbolic strikes, but could extend to American bases, allies, or strategic assets in the Persian Gulf.
The escalation comes amid already heightened tensions following Israel’s strikes on Iranian assets and growing speculation about a regional war that could engulf oil routes, destabilize energy markets, and draw in global powers.
