SAEDNEWS: In a stunning accusation that threatens to ignite further diplomatic fires, former Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has explicitly claimed that Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is an "agent of the Zionist regime."
According to Saed News, Manouchehr Mottaki, Iran’s former foreign minister and current parliamentarian, delivered scathing remarks against the U.S., Israel, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in an exclusive interview with Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen. Mottaki accused IAEA chief Rafael Grossi of acting as an agent of Israel and revealed that the Iranian parliament is preparing legislation to exit the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), branding the nuclear watchdog complicit in enabling attacks on Iran.
“Grossi is working for the Zionist regime. We have documents proving it,” Mottaki said, claiming the IAEA helped create a hostile narrative against Iran’s nuclear program, laying the groundwork for military action.
He asserted that the U.S. played a double game—proposing negotiations as a smokescreen while enabling Israel’s war plans. “Trump didn’t want talks; he wanted time. Time for Israel to get ready for war,” Mottaki said.
Mottaki emphasized that Iran had acquired over 10 million pages of intelligence from Israel through covert operations, providing Tehran with granular knowledge of every critical site in occupied Palestine. “From military to economic, we know every inch of their land. This is intelligence on a level far beyond Edward Snowden,” he added.
He said Israel’s military gamble has already failed. “By day three, it was clear they would lose. They believed they could take out Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure in two weeks. They were wrong.”
On Iran’s future course, Mottaki highlighted the country’s missile doctrine as the cornerstone of its defense strategy. “Our missile capability has expanded drastically. In recent days, we unveiled several models—yet much remains hidden. The response has only just begun,” he warned.
He further stated that Iran had factored in the possibility of direct U.S. involvement long ago. “Whether it’s Trump or anyone else, if America starts this war, Iran will finish it. And the cost for Washington will be greater than for us.”
Turning to the IAEA, Mottaki accused the agency of shielding Israeli aggression and ignoring Iran’s 22 years of cooperation. “We answered every question—under me and later under Zarif. But each time, political pressure from the U.S. or Israel stopped the recognition of our peaceful program.”
Mottaki reiterated that Iran’s potential withdrawal from the NPT is now a logical step. “We’ve honored our obligations but received none of the benefits. What’s the point of staying in?”
He ended the interview with a cultural note on Iran’s enduring unity and deep-rooted history. “We are a nation with 10,000 years of civilization. When our homeland is threatened, we become like a mountain. Israel has underestimated that—and will regret it.”
Mottaki concluded with a chilling message:
“This illegitimate, hollow regime has handed us the excuse. Now, it’s time for Iran’s missiles to take revenge for every Palestinian and Lebanese child killed. Israel will be made to regret its arrogance.”
