SAEDNEWS:Amid an intensifying regional conflagration, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Takht-Ravanchi unequivocally ruled out any possibility of diplomatic engagement under the duress of sustained aerial bombardment, asserting Tehran’s sovereign right to self-defense while rebuking Western narratives suggesting covert overtures toward negotiation.

No Talks Under Fire": Iran Warns West Amid Relentless Bombardment and Rising Tensions

According to Saed News, In a defiant response to growing international pressure, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi declared that Tehran would not engage in negotiations while under active threat and bombardment, calling such expectations "unrealistic and unjust."

Speaking in an exclusive interview with CNN on Wednesday, Takht-Ravanchi said: “We are in the midst of defending ourselves. We have not reached out to anyone. While Iran has always upheld the value of diplomacy, no nation can be expected to negotiate under fire.”

The senior diplomat forcefully denied recent claims made by American media outlets and former President Donald Trump suggesting that Iran had discreetly sent signals to restart nuclear negotiations. “Since the beginning of the conflict, Iran has not sent any messages to either the United States or Israel regarding a resumption of talks,” he stated. “We are defending ourselves — and we will not beg for dialogue while Iranian civilians are being bombed daily.”

“If the U.S. Chooses War, We Will Retaliate”

Takht-Ravanchi warned that any military escalation by Washington would be met with a proportional response. “Should the United States decide to intervene militarily, Iran will be left with no option but to retaliate in the manner and against the targets it deems appropriate. This is not a threat. It is a declaration of our sovereign right to self-defense.”

Questioning the timing of Israel’s latest offensive — just two days before renewed diplomatic engagements were reportedly due to begin — Takht-Ravanchi cast doubt on Washington’s intentions. “The attack undermines diplomacy. It is a betrayal of trust — of the very principle of diplomacy that the United States claims to champion.”

Iran Rallies in the Face of Foreign Aggression

The deputy minister also pointed to a surge in national unity following the latest Israeli airstrikes, which targeted Tehran and multiple other cities, killing military commanders, scientists, and civilians. “Iranian society is now more unified than ever in its determination to resist foreign aggression and interference in our domestic affairs,” he said.

The strikes, which took place in the early hours of June 14, have drawn condemnation across the Iranian political spectrum. In a powerful address following the attacks, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed that Israel would face "a severe reckoning," adding that "the powerful arm of Iran’s armed forces will not rest until justice is served — God willing."
