SAEDNEWS: President Donald Trump has claimed he should have won the Nobel Peace Prize multiple times, citing the Abraham Accords and his role in easing tensions between India and Pakistan. “They gave it to Obama for nothing — I actually made peace,” he said.
According to Saed News, President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, accusing it of political bias and insisting he should have been awarded the prestigious honour multiple times.
“They won’t give it to me because they only give it to liberals,” Trump told reporters, reiterating his long-standing grievance over the lack of recognition for his foreign policy initiatives.
Referring to his administration’s diplomatic achievements, Trump said, “For accomplishments like the Abraham Accords and my mediation efforts during the India–Pakistan tensions, I should have received the Nobel Peace Prize four or five times.”
Trump’s remarks came shortly after Pakistan’s government announced it had formally nominated him for the prize, citing his role in de-escalating recent hostilities between India and Pakistan. Islamabad praised the U.S. President’s efforts and expressed hope that his mediation could contribute to broader regional stability, particularly in the Middle East.
The Pakistani government specifically pointed to Trump’s potential role in easing tensions between Israel and Iran and fostering calm in Gaza as reasons for its support.
While Trump has previously claimed he was unfairly overlooked by the Nobel Committee, this renewed push for recognition comes amid heightened global scrutiny of his foreign policy and growing calls for a more impartial approach to the selection of Nobel laureates.
