Qatar: We Are in Talks With Iran and Oman To Bridge The Gap Between Washington And Tehran.

According to the Saed News website, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, said:
"The Middle East and the Gulf countries are a priority for the U.S. government. Relations between Qatar and the United States have remained strong under all administrations."

According to Al Jazeera, he added:
"Donald Trump's visit to the Middle East was special, and we discussed regional security and economic cooperation. We are pleased that the Middle East and the Gulf region are a priority for the Trump administration."

He stated:
"We are working to mediate an agreement that would lead to the release of hostages and reduce the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza. Since the beginning of the Gaza war, we have tried to reach an agreement to end it and return the hostages to their families. Over the past year and a half, it has become clear that negotiation is the only path. Prisoner exchange talks have often been disrupted by political games."

The Qatari Prime Minister said:
"We are in talks with Iran and Oman to bridge the gap between Washington and Tehran. Donald Trump is trying to prevent the escalation of tensions with Iran, and that is a positive step."

He added:
"We are continuing efforts with Egypt and the United States to reach a ceasefire in Gaza. We believed that the release of Aidan Alexander, the Zionist-American detainee, would put an end to the Gaza tragedy, but the response was Israel’s violent bombing."
