Saed News: Our Foreign Minister Wrote In A Message: Enrichment In Iran—Whether An Agreement Is Reached Or Not—Will Continue.
According to the Saed News Agency, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, wrote in a post on the social network X:
"In the negotiations concerning Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, our American counterparts are, of course, free to say whatever they deem necessary in the public sphere to manage pressure from influential groups—malevolent actors who, at least in previous administrations, set the agenda.
But Iran is only responsible for its own conduct, and therefore, our policy is to refrain from public negotiations—especially given the widening gap these days between the U.S. side’s public and private stances, as well as their weekly shifts in position.
Our stance on Iran’s rights as a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is entirely clear and not open to interpretation. There is no scenario or condition in which Iranians would allow those rights to be denied. Mastery of enrichment technology is a domestic achievement—earned through years of scientific effort and significant sacrifices, both financial and personal.
If the United States is truly interested in ensuring that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons, then a deal is within reach, and we are ready to enter serious talks to permanently prevent such an outcome.
In any case, enrichment in Iran—whether an agreement is reached or not—will continue."
