SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi voiced concern over rising tensions in southern Yemen, stressing that the crisis in the war-torn country can only be resolved through dialogue among all Yemeni groups.
In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, Araqchi and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani discussed bilateral relations as well as regional developments.
During the call, Araqchi expressed concern about escalating tensions in southern Yemen and called on all countries in the region to make efforts to preserve Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.
He also reiterated that Iran believes the Yemeni crisis can be resolved through dialogue among all Yemeni factions.
For his part, the Bahraini foreign minister underscored the necessity of maintaining peace and stability in Yemen and the wider region.
Both sides expressed hope that ongoing efforts would lead to the resolution of existing problems, the preservation of Yemen’s unity, and the consolidation of stability in that country.
