SAEDNEWS: US President Says Israel Could Resume War if Hamas Violates Ceasefire
According to the political service of Saed News, U.S. President Donald Trump told CNN late Wednesday that Israel is ready to restart the war in Gaza immediately upon his order if Hamas fails to adhere to the ceasefire agreement.
The U.S. president added, with a hint of sarcasm: “If Israel were truly able to enter and completely destroy Hamas, it would have done so by now.”
U.S. Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. forces at CENTCOM, also urged Hamas on Wednesday evening to immediately surrender its weapons, claiming this moment marks a historic opportunity for peace.
Despite the ceasefire and the prisoner exchange in Gaza, Israeli circles have acknowledged that completely disarming Hamas and eliminating the movement from Gaza is not feasible.
