SAEDNEWS: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the false claims contained in the statement of the meeting of GCC foreign ministers.
According to Saed News, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran completely rejects the repetitive and legally baseless claim of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding the three Iranian islands — contained in the statement of the 165th meeting of the foreign ministers of this council — and once again emphasizes Iran’s indisputable sovereignty over Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb islands as inseparable parts of the Iranian territorial domain, stressing that the repetition of baseless claims in similar statements will not change the geographical, historical, and legal realities concerning these islands.
Accordingly, while rejecting the interventionist assertions contained in the above statement, it is emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in line with the exercise of its sovereign rights, will take any necessary measures to ensure safety and security in these Iranian islands and to safeguard the interests of the country within their scope.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing Iran’s rights in the Arash field based on historical rights and the record of negotiations, considers unilateral claims about this field to be invalid and stresses that issuing repetitive statements and raising unilateral claims will not create any legal rights for the government of Kuwait. Achieving a fair and sustainable agreement regarding the Arash field requires bilateral dialogue, joint efforts, and the creation of a positive and constructive atmosphere to preserve and secure mutual rights and interests.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while stressing Iran’s legitimate and legal rights to benefit from nuclear energy under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), considers any attempt to cast doubt on the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program baseless, and notes that Iran has always, while fulfilling its obligations under the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement, participated in negotiation and diplomatic processes with a responsible and goodwill-based approach to build confidence in this regard. However, the United States and European parties, through continuous breaches and flagrant violations of the principles and rules of the UN Charter and international law, have disrupted negotiation processes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran draws the attention of regional countries to the real and immediate danger posed by the weapons of mass destruction of the Zionist regime, stressing that the realization of a region free of nuclear weapons requires collective efforts of regional countries to compel the international community to adopt effective measures regarding the weapons of mass destruction of the genocidal and aggressive Israeli regime.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, recalling the necessity of ensuring the security and lasting stability of the region with the participation of all countries and away from destabilizing and destructive interventions by extra-regional actors, emphasizes its readiness to strengthen interactions to achieve this goal.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while welcoming the stance of GCC countries in strongly condemning the continuation of the Zionist regime’s genocide in Gaza and its crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizes the necessity of adopting effective and immediate measures, including the cessation of any political and diplomatic relations with this regime, in order to force it to stop its crimes in occupied Palestine.
