SAEDNEWS: Amir Aziz Nasirzadeh stressed at the Shanghai summit that economic and security cooperation among alliance members offers an effective alternative to counter Western unilateralism and sanctions.
According to Saed News, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Aziz Nasirzadeh stated in an interview on the sidelines of the Shanghai Summit that the world is currently facing Western unilateralism and overreach.
He highlighted that international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS can serve as suitable alternatives for countering unilateralism and forming new alliances.
Nasirzadeh emphasized that member countries of these alliances should cooperate both economically and in security matters to ensure regional stability and develop their economies to withstand sanctions.
He added that the Shanghai Organization was established with this objective in mind and has already produced positive effects in various domains.
