Iraqchi: Assassination of Yemeni Leaders an Unprecedented Crime Threatening Global Security

According to Saed News quoting ISNA, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Iraqchi issued a statement on the martyrdom of Yemen’s Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahawi, Foreign Minister Jamal Amri, and several other senior officials of the Yemeni government during a terrorist attack carried out by the Israeli regime.

The message expressed “deep sorrow and grief” over the attack and extended condolences and solidarity to the heroic people of Yemen, the oppressed Palestinian nation, and all Muslims and free people worldwide.

ATTACK ON YEMEN

Iraqchi emphasized that the cowardly assassination of Yemeni leaders, which flagrantly violated Yemen’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, constitutes a heinous and unprecedented crime against the great and free Yemeni nation, which over the past two years has established itself as a true supporter and defender of the oppressed Palestinian people.

The Iranian Foreign Minister further stated that the continued inaction of the United Nations in the face of blatant violations of international law by Israel, coupled with the expansion of its aggression and crimes across West Asia—including the intensified genocide in Gaza and repeated attacks on Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon—undermines the credibility of fundamental international norms and makes the countries supporting such acts, including the U.S., the U.K., and other Western states, complicit in Israel’s crimes. This situation poses an unprecedented threat to international peace and security and represents an existential danger to humanity.

Iraqchi stressed that regional countries and the global community have an urgent and effective duty to stop the genocide in Gaza and hold the leaders of the Israeli regime accountable.

The senior Iranian diplomat expressed deep condolences to the resilient people of Yemen and the families of the martyrs and prayed for the highest ranks in paradise for the victims.

He concluded by asserting that the criminal actions of the hated and usurping Israeli regime will not weaken the steadfast determination of the Yemeni people to defend their dignity and independence, nor their support for the Palestinian cause. On the contrary, it will fuel the flames of resistance in Yemen and across the region.
