Iranian Parliamentarian: Allowing IAEA Inspectors Violates National Law

According to Saed News, Kamran Ghazanfari, a member of the Iranian Parliament representing Tehran, issued a verbal warning in today’s parliamentary session regarding IAEA inspectors’ access to Bushehr and Tehran nuclear sites.

He stated: “Today in Parliament, Dr. Qalibaf announced that, with the approval of the Supreme National Security Council, IAEA inspectors have been allowed to enter the Bushehr nuclear site and Tehran research facility.

This action explicitly violates the law mandating the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. According to this law, the government is obligated to suspend all cooperation with the IAEA until full assurance is obtained regarding the protection of national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of nuclear facilities and scientists.

Given the repeated threats from the United States and Israel against Iran’s nuclear sites, the conditions outlined in the law have not been met, and therefore no one has the right to continue cooperation with the IAEA.

I emphasize that if these actions continue, legal charges will be filed against the head of the Supreme National Security Council for clear violations of the law.”
