According to Saed News’ social section, citing Rozito, reports reveal that this mother of three had been forced to support her head with her hands for the past 26 years due to a severe medical condition.

She was diagnosed with scoliosis, a disorder in which the spine twists or curves sideways.

The 37-year-old woman struggled immensely with walking, and her head nearly reached her waist—meaning that when she stood, the unidentified patient from Guizhou Province, China, measured only 1.2 meters tall.

Footage of her shows her Z-shaped body bent 180 degrees backward and to the right. In another video, despite her deteriorating condition, she can be seen trying to take her children to school.

In an interview with local Chinese media, she said, “I can’t see the road in front of me. I can only see a little from the sides.”

However, recent videos shared on social media reveal that after undergoing surgery to straighten her spine, she now stands upright.

The woman now measures 1.6 meters—an increase of 43 centimeters following the procedure, performed by Wang Yu, chief orthopedic surgeon at Peking University Hospital.

Social media users were shocked by the remarkable transformation. One wrote, “Thank you on behalf of this poor woman.” Another commented, “Skilled doctor, you saved this woman’s life.” A third wished her doctor longevity: “Dr. Wang, may you live 200 years.”
