SAEDNEWS: The Iranian Embassy in London has dismissed Daily Telegraph reports on Iran as lacking credibility and called for corrections and an opportunity for an official response.
According to Saed News, quoting Tasnim, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Kingdom has condemned biased reports by a British media outlet against Iran and declared them as lacking credibility.
The embassy’s statement reads as follows:
“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London expresses its deep concern over the repeated publication of biased and baseless reports on Iran by the Daily Telegraph.
These articles, relying on vague and unreliable sources, lack credibility and present a distorted and misleading image of the realities in Iran. Such an approach contradicts the principles of professional journalism, impartiality, and commitment to truth.
The embassy firmly rejects these unfounded claims and formally requests corrections to the published reports and provision of an equal space for an official response from the embassy.
Continued reliance on vague and unverifiable sources only undermines journalistic integrity, damages public trust, and harms relationships based on mutual respect. Responsibility for the consequences lies with those who publish such content.”
Previously, the Daily Telegraph, citing an Iranian official, claimed that Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, was seeking to persuade other decision-makers in Iran to reduce the country’s uranium enrichment level to 20 percent.
