The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized that labeling Iran’s nuclear program as non-peaceful is a form of misinformation aimed at the global public.

He added: “Accordingly, the UK Foreign Minister should answer which of their commitments, alongside other European countries, they have fulfilled in return for Iran meeting its obligations under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).”

He further accused the British of constant mischief and resisting the independence of other countries. “London aims to use its anti-Iranian stance in the media as leverage to control and contain the Islamic Republic of Iran and ultimately harm our country.”

The representative of Tehran, Shemiranat, Rey, Islamshahr, and Pardis in the 12th Parliament clarified: “Today, it is well known that various industries such as pharmaceuticals and agriculture require the achievements and products of the nuclear industry with different enrichment levels. Therefore, the UK Foreign Minister cannot evade responsibility.”

Zohrevand also pointed out that the UK possesses a nuclear arsenal used for nuclear submarines, and challenged the UK Foreign Minister to explain why Britain maintains such inhumane nuclear weapons.
