SAEDNEWS: Egypt emphasizes that halting the escalation of regional crises is the main objective of its foreign policy toward Iran. Cairo is facilitating cooperation with the IAEA and encouraging renewed dialogue with the United States, while coordinating with European partners.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati told Russia’s Sputnik news agency that Cairo’s consultations with Tehran naturally focus on stopping the escalation of regional crises, describing this as “the most important goal of our foreign policy regarding Iran.”
According to Saed News citing IRNA, he added that achieving this goal requires supporting the opening of cooperative channels between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as resuming dialogue with the U.S. side. “We are engaged with all actors in this process, including the three European countries,” he said.
