SAEDNEWS: Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Aati, expressed his country’s support for restarting Iran’s nuclear negotiations and advancing a peaceful political path during recent phone calls with Iran’s Abbas Araghchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Badr Abdel-Aati, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, held phone conversations with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, as well as with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
According to Mizan News Agency, during these calls, Egypt’s Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s support for the resumption of Iran’s nuclear negotiations and the advancement of a peaceful political process.
These negotiations, conducted indirectly between Iran and the United States, were ongoing until late June, when they were halted just before the planned sixth round due to a military attack by Israel on Iranian territory — with U.S. support — followed by a U.S. military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities monitored by the IAEA.
