Saed News: Get to know the very strange tradition of the people of the Castrillo de Murcia region, Spain.
According to the Saed News Social Service quoting Fararu, in many cultures around the world, the birth of a baby is considered a blessed and auspicious event and is celebrated in various ways according to the traditions of that specific region. However, the people of the Castrillo de Murcia region take it a step further by participating in a strange festival both to honor the birth and to prepare the baby for the future. During this ritual, the locals place newborn babies on the ground, and people dressed in special costumes playing the role of the devil jump over these poor, unsuspecting infants. There is no cause for concern, as this tradition has been practiced since the 17th century in this area, and so far, no injuries or accidents have been reported.
