SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian unveiled plans to elevate the value of annual trade exchanges with Pakistan to $10 billion.

Speaking to reporters in Tehran on Saturday morning before departing for Islamabad for an official visit, Pezeshkian lauded the “positive and constructive” relations with the neighboring state.

He said plans have been devised to increase the annual trade exchanges to $10 billion.

Pezeshkian also lauded Pakistan for standing by Iran during the recent Israeli war and condemning the act of aggression.

Pointing to plans to discuss security developments and border affairs during his stay in Islamabad, the Iranian president said sustainable regional security would be ensured through cooperation and coordination among the countries.

Pezeshkian is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation in the visit to Pakistan, made at the invitation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
