SAEDNEWS: The President of France, while reiterating his decision to recognize an independent State of Palestine in the coming September, stated that the establishment of a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes Israel is the only path to peace.
According to Saednews, quoting Al Jazeera, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he had spoken with his Turkish and Egyptian counterparts, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, about ways to advance the two-state solution as well as the catastrophic and unacceptable humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, Macron added: "Everything necessary must be done to ensure the security of both Palestinians and Israelis. The New York conference on July 28 and 29 must pave a new path toward a permanent solution based on the two-state framework."
He emphasized: "We cannot accept the starvation of children in Gaza. I will recognize the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly this coming September."
Macron stressed: "A ceasefire must be implemented, and all hostages must be released. Immediate humanitarian aid must enter Gaza, and Hamas must be disarmed. The humanitarian situation in Gaza is unacceptable, and widespread famine and displacement threaten its residents."
He also stated: "The formation of a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes Israel is the path to peace. France is working to encourage other countries to join in recognizing the State of Palestine."
