SAEDNEWS: Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baqaei, expressed condolences to the Russian government and people over the plane crash that left 49 people dead.

Iran Extends Condolences to Russia Over Deadly Plane Crash

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has expressed condolences to the Russian government and people over a deadly passenger plane crash in that country.

In a post on X on Friday, the Iranian diplomat expressed sorrow and grief over the tragic incident and conveyed sympathy with the families of the victims.

According to Russian media outlets, all 49 people aboard an Antonov An-24 passenger plane were killed after it crashed the far eastern Amur region on Thursday.

The Angara Airlines flight was en route to the town of Tynda when it crashed. The wreckage of the plane was found 15 kilometers from the town. Technical investigations are still ongoing.
