SAEDNEWS: An official from Iran’s Judiciary described the unprovoked war against Iran as blatant violations of the U.N. Charter.
According to Saednews, Iran’s prosecutor general has called on the United Nations to take actions regarding the war crimes of the United Sates and the Israeli regime in launching air strikes on the Iranian soil.
In a letter addressed to U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights on Sunday, Mohammad Movahedi-Azad formally protested the military aggression carried out by Israel and the U.S. against Iranian territory in June 2025, describing the unprovoked war as blatant violations of the U.N. Charter.
The letter enumerates a wide range of losses, including civilian casualties, destruction of hospitals, residential buildings, media centers, nuclear facilities, oil refineries, prisons, sports venues, and energy infrastructures.
Iran has reiterated that its nuclear program is peaceful, he said, citing repeated inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Movahedi-Azad urged the U.N. Security Council to hold Israel and its allies accountable, expressing hope that the U.N. would act impartially to defend foundational international principles and human dignity.
