The Zionist Attack on Evin Prison Has so Far Resulted in 71 Martyrs

According to Saed News, reporting from the Judiciary Media Center, Asghar Jahangir stated on Sunday: In this attack, the Zionists committed a full-fledged crime, and even the neighbors living near the visitation hall and the judicial office in Evin Prison were severely affected.

Jahangir noted that the damages suffered by the neighbors of Evin Prison were both materially heavy and physically harmful. He added: The Zionist attack on Evin Prison caused extensive financial and bodily harm to residents living near the visitation hall and judicial buildings, and this attack, which clearly had a significant impact on ordinary civilians, even resulted in martyrdom among the neighbors.

The Judiciary spokesperson, regarding the total number of martyrs from the attack on Evin Prison, said: On the day of the attack, some families had come to Evin for visitation or to follow up on their loved ones’ cases. Unfortunately, the targeted hall was struck by a projectile, and a number of citizens present at the site were either injured or martyred.

Jahangir continued: Unfortunately, several people were wounded in the incident—some were treated on-site, others were transported to hospitals, and some received inpatient and follow-up care before being discharged.

With the brutal terrorist attack by the Zionist regime’s criminal gang on Evin Prison on June 22, 2025 (2nd of Tir 1404), this lawless regime once again demonstrated its disregard for international commitments and norms. In clear violation of international and humanitarian laws, the regime targeted and struck several buildings within Evin Prison, including the infirmary, engineering building, visitation hall, and the judicial office.
