Iran’s Oil Exports To China Hit A Record High

According to Saed News, based on data from tanker-tracking companies, China significantly increased its crude oil imports from Iran this month amid overall high import levels in recent weeks, driven by lower oil prices in April and May.

According to data from Vortexa, China’s oil imports from Iran reached a record 1.8 million barrels per day between June 1 and June 20.

Data from Kpler showed that from June 1 to June 27, China’s average imports of Iranian oil stood at 1.46 million barrels per day, which is about 500,000 barrels per day more than the estimated imports from Iran in May.

The increase in Iranian oil exports to China is attributed to higher crude loadings in May and increased purchases by China’s independent refineries—known as “teapots”—which bought Iranian crude to replenish inventories ahead of peak summer demand.

Iran’s daily oil exports rose by 44% in the first week following the Zionist regime’s military aggression, and analysts expect China’s imports of Iranian oil to remain at a high level in the coming weeks.
