SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, in an official letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom, called on the organization to condemn the unlawful military attacks by Israel and the U.S. on Iranian territory (June 13–24) and to take decisive action to hold them accountable for violating international law.

According to Saednews, in the letter, Ali Bahreini stated that as a result of Israeli attacks, seven hospitals and medical centers across Iran were damaged, 627 people — including medical staff and relief workers — were martyred, and 4,935 others were injured.

In another part of the letter, Iran’s ambassador highlighted the disastrous consequences of the deliberate U.S. and Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities, endangering civilian lives in Iran and the region. He emphasized that such actions violate the WHO Constitution and several of its adopted resolutions.

He added that Iran’s Minister of Health had previously sent a separate letter to the WHO, condemning Israel’s unlawful attacks on Iranian medical facilities and urging the organization to take a stand.
