SAEDNEWS: In a symbolic gesture underscoring Iran’s reverence for its war dead, the family of martyr Mohammad Shayan Fard has received a blessed ring from the Supreme Leader, fulfilling the young soldier’s final wish and highlighting Tehran’s continuing emphasis on national martyrdom.
According to Saed News, the Director-General of the Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation of Sistan and Baluchestan, Mojtaba Mirhosseini, paid a formal visit to the home of Mohammad Shayan Fard, a young air defense officer recently killed in a missile strike attributed to Israel. During the visit, he presented the martyr’s family with a ring sanctified by Iran’s Supreme Leader—a personal object the fallen soldier had long desired and whose delivery was facilitated through the Supreme Leader’s representative at the foundation.
“This is a young man raised in the tradition of Imam Hussein, deeply devoted to the Ahl al-Bayt and to the martyrs of the Islamic Republic,” Mirhosseini remarked during the ceremony in Zahedan. “Such men may have died in obscurity, but God elevates them to prominence in the eyes of the nation.”
The Director-General emphasized that Shayan Fard had explicitly expressed a heartfelt wish to receive a ring belonging to the Supreme Leader. This desire, voiced during a recent meeting between the martyr’s relatives and officials, was honored after swift coordination with the office of the Supreme Leader’s representative at the national foundation.
The symbolic handover of the ring was framed not only as a personal tribute but as a reflection of the broader ideological and spiritual fabric of Iran’s political narrative. “The blood of our martyrs, along with the steadfastness of their families, has preserved the dignity and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic,” Mirhosseini stated.
Mohammad Shayan Fard was killed alongside another soldier, Hajizadeh, in the early morning hours of June 23 during an Israeli air raid on Iranian air defense positions in Tehran. The attack, described by Iranian authorities as cowardly and terrorist in nature, has been met with strong rhetorical condemnation from Iranian officials and has further elevated the status of those killed as national icons of sacrifice.
