According to Saed News, Iranian security forces have detained six individuals alleged to be operatives of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in what authorities described as a significant breakthrough in the country’s ongoing campaign against espionage and sabotage.

The arrests were made during a coordinated operation conducted by Tehran police, as reported by the semi-official Fars News Agency. The suspects were allegedly in possession of a variety of weapons and explosive devices, including hand grenades, time bombs, military-grade ammunition, and small-scale unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with explosive payloads.

Authorities stated that two of the arrested individuals were manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Andisheh district. Others are accused of receiving payments — reportedly up to $2,000 — to provide location data of sensitive sites, including the national broadcasting headquarters and a high-ranking official’s residence.

One of the operatives was also allegedly involved in sending video footage to foreign entities, a move officials have described as part of a broader attempt to destabilize the country. Tehran police claim the group was using miniature drones and quadcopters in desert areas surrounding the capital for surveillance and potential attack missions.

The operation is the latest in a series of high-profile arrests targeting individuals suspected of collaborating with foreign intelligence services. While Iran frequently accuses Israel and its intelligence network of covert operations within its borders, these latest claims have yet to be independently verified. Israeli officials have not responded to the accusations.
