According to Saednews, the statement reads that the coordinated airstrikes carried out by the United States on June 22 against the nuclear sites of Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz were premeditated, provocative acts that violate the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

The member countries of this group emphasized that the U.S. action constitutes a clear violation of Iran’s national sovereignty, an explicit breach of the UN Charter, and a blatant aggression against the fundamental principles of international law, particularly the prohibition of the use or threat of force.

The statement also noted that the attack on nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is a clear violation of the agency’s statute and a threat to global nuclear security. The members called for a firm response from the UN Secretary-General and the IAEA Director-General to condemn this aggression.

Furthermore, the Friends Group warned about the regional and international consequences of this provocative act and demanded the immediate cessation of threats and use of force by the U.S. and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The statement also reaffirmed the group’s full solidarity and unconditional support for the government and people of Iran in the face of these brutal attacks and the blatant violation of the country’s national sovereignty.
