SAEDNEWS: The BRICS group condemned the recent aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran in a statement.
According to Saednews, quoting Russia Today, the BRICS group condemned the attacks by the Zionist regime and the United States on Iran.
The statement said: The military attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran is a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. BRICS members condemn attacks on “peaceful nuclear facilities.” Additionally, the Middle East must be “free of nuclear weapons.”
In this joint statement, the BRICS member countries (including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and new members including Iran) expressed their strong position condemning the recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The statement emphasized that any unilateral military action is not only contrary to international law and the UN Charter but also threatens regional stability.
The group also, referring to the prohibition of attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities under international law, called for maintaining a nuclear-weapon-free environment in the Middle East. This stance aligns with Iran’s view, which has always emphasized the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
This announcement comes as tensions between Iran and the West have escalated following recent attacks, raising concerns about the potential for intensified conflicts in the region. BRICS countries have supported diplomatic solutions instead of military actions.
This joint statement shows that despite political differences among BRICS members, the group takes a coordinated position on key security issues such as maintaining stability in the Middle East. This move could pave the way for new diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.
