SAEDNEWS: In a shocking escalation, Israeli fighter jets bombed a military logistics base in Tabriz, northern Iran, just moments ago. Local officials confirmed that the Shaheed Madani depot was the direct target of the airstrike, as powerful blasts rattled the city.
According to Saed News, the city of Tabriz was rocked by powerful explosions on Sunday evening after Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Shaheed Madani military logistics base. The attack marks a significant expansion of the conflict, as it reaches deeper into Iran’s northern territories.
Initial reports of loud detonations across Tabriz prompted widespread alarm among residents. Soon after, Brigadier General Bakht Shokoohi, spokesperson for the Ashura Corps of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), confirmed in an interview with ISNA that the facility had indeed been bombed by Israeli forces.
“The Shaheed Madani depot was struck in an aggressive air assault carried out by Israeli aircraft,” Shokoohi said, without providing casualty details at this time.
Authorities have yet to issue a full statement on damage assessment or the extent of casualties, if any. Emergency response units were reportedly dispatched to the area immediately following the attack, and investigations are ongoing.
The strike comes amid heightened tensions following Israel’s and the U.S.’s coordinated attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in recent days—an escalation that has drawn widespread condemnation from regional and international actors alike.
Military analysts have noted that targeting Tabriz, a major city in Iran’s northwest and far from the southern or central conflict zones, signals a dramatic widening of Israel's strike range and strategic ambitions.
The Iranian government has not yet officially responded, but additional updates are expected imminently as the situation develops.
