Saed News: One of the old accident news stories published by the Ettela’at newspaper in 1961 concerned a girl with four fiancés.
Saed News, Social Service Report, quoting Etemad Online: A man whose 18-year-old daughter was simultaneously engaged to four men had his secret revealed after one of the daughter's fiancés filed a complaint. Asadollah, 25 years old, submitted a complaint to the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office stating: "Some time ago, I became friends with a man; after a while, he offered me to marry his marriageable daughter, Mahin. I visited his house several times and liked Mahin. When I told him I was ready to marry his daughter, he said I had to pay 6,000 tomans as a bride price. I paid that amount and got engaged to Mahin. We were supposed to marry soon, but Mahin’s father kept delaying our marriage with various excuses until a few days ago when I found out Mahin was also engaged to three other men and her father had taken bride prices from them as well." Following this complaint, the prosecutor issued an order to arrest Mahin’s father on charges of fraud.
