Some individuals, in pursuit of popularity and fame on social media, manipulate, Photoshop, and edit videos.
According to the Daily Star, a video was recently shared on the social media platform TikTok, showing a 399-year-old Thai woman. The video claims that this woman turns 399 years old today. It further claims that due to extreme old age, she is unable to walk or speak. However, this viral clip is a fake video, as Guinness World Records has already officially recognized the oldest person on Earth.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the person claimed to be the oldest human on Earth is actually a 109-year-old Thai monk named Luang Ta Ya. A video of him had previously been circulated showing him lying in a hospital bed. After being shared on TikTok, the video garnered over 80 million views.

It is worth mentioning that on January 20, Guinness World Records confirmed that Kane Tanaka from Fukuoka, Japan, is the oldest living person in the world. She is 119 years old, born on January 2, 1903. She survived two world wars and two global pandemics, including the Spanish Flu in 1918. Mrs. Tanaka’s husband passed away at the age of 90.
